Sometimes I feel like being in Boston is like an escape from the pain. An anesthetic so to speak. Coming home is like waking up to reality. It is so depressing. My brokenness is all the more apparent here.

When will the pain be gone? Will it ever end in this life? Lord, come quickly. I feel I can bear it no more. I'm growing so, so tired...

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,

I wish I could say it is well with my soul.

What can I do but look up to you? I am weary and discouraged, but I'm crying out for you to restore my soul... bring order to the chaos of my mind and my heart. in Jesus' name.
